Chauffeurs for Rent: The New Twist On The Limo Service

Car rental has been around for a long time. Whether it be for out of town travel or because our car is broken down, most of us have had to use this convenience feature at some point in our life. If you have the time, you can rent a car over the phone. Alternatively, if you want to rent a car on the go, you can go online to make a reservation. There are many places where you can find a local car rental branch. Popular car rental chains that come to mind would be Budget, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Avis, and Hertz.

Avis recently started to give the option to rent a chauffeur with your car rentals as well. So far, however, this added feature is only limited to a select few big cities like Chicago and New York. The company requires a 24 hour notice before hiring a chauffer. The chauffeur charges $30 per hour with a three hour minimum. Customers are billed through a company called WeDriveU which is separate from Avis. The service is primarily targeted to mid-level executives, but should also appeal to business travelers who fly into small airports without rental-car facilities.

Once the executive has landed, they do not have to worry about picking up their car rental. He can request to be picked up by the chauffeur outside an airport terminal or have the chauffeur come inside to pick up their bags. They can also decide to dismiss a chauffeur at any time and drive themselves.

In the UK, chauffeur hire companies are well established and quite separate, in the minds of consumers, from the traditional car hire firms. Chauffeur companies are more readily available in the UK than in the US. If you are looking to tour London or another city in the UK chauffeur driven car london can provide chauffeurs for you that are expert tour guides as well.
